ByTheTon helps you order delivery of bulk materials — gravel, sand, mulch, topsoil, and similar products — from local suppliers. You'll see a price instantly based on your location, material, and quantity, choose a preferred delivery date, and pay to book your delivery. We then coordinate the actual delivery with the supplier fulfilling your order.

Prices shown on the site are calculated based on the information you provide — your location, material, quantity, and delivery address. The price shown before checkout is the price you'll pay; it does not change based on your exact delivery address. Prices include applicable sales tax, calculated based on your delivery address. Prices are subject to material availability at the time of your order.

The delivery date you select at checkout is a request, not a guarantee. We confirm every requested date with the supplier fulfilling your order and will contact you if it needs to shift. Most suppliers need at least a couple of business days' notice and don't deliver on weekends, which is reflected in the dates available to choose from.

Payment is collected at the time you book your delivery, through a secure checkout page hosted by Square. We don't see or store your card details — those are handled directly by Square. Your payment method is charged when checkout completes, which confirms your order.

If we're unable to fulfill your order — for example, if the supplier can't deliver to your location or on a workable date — you'll receive a full refund.

If you need to cancel after booking, contact us as soon as possible through our contact page. We'll do our best to accommodate a full refund if your delivery hasn't yet been scheduled with the supplier. Once a delivery has been scheduled or is already in progress, a refund may not be possible, since the supplier may have already committed the material and truck to your order.

Deliveries are made as a standard drop at the delivery address you provide — typically curbside or at the edge of your driveway, not navigated into tight or obstructed spaces. If your site isn't accessible this way, contact us before booking so we can check with the supplier about what's possible; deliveries that can't be completed due to site access may be subject to the cancellation terms above.

A price shown on the site is not a guarantee that delivery is available at your location. If we're unable to fulfill your request, we'll contact you and issue a refund per the cancellation terms above.

ByTheTon coordinates delivery with third-party material suppliers. While we work to ensure a smooth experience, we aren't liable for delays, damages, or issues caused by the supplier, delivery carrier, weather, or conditions outside our reasonable control.

We may update these terms as the business grows. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
